Many women at this stage will feel impatient for seeing their child. Though you have only 2 months left still you may feel that passing every day is a hard task now. More and more symptoms and increasing weight along with several discomforts will make you think like that. Remember that you are very near to due date and you have to bear with it.
30 Week Pregnancy Symptoms
Most of the pregnant women will gain maximum weight during these weeks of 30-32. Even after this week, some women will continue to gain weight. Your belly will be seen protruding at its best nowadays and you will have difficulty in performing routine tasks also.
In case if your belly has not grown not till date then it is time for you to see it growing in these few weeks. You will get pregnancy pain and cramps from now on till the delivery time but all of these are not true labor pain. As your spine bends in to give way for bulging stomach you are likely to get back pain. Similarly your leg bone will find it difficult to bear the sudden weight gain causing unbearable pain and swelling.
If you are not feeling well, then you can better take off from your work at least for some days. Your body joints will loosen up due to increase in pregnancy hormones. Continue to take healthy foods and get good sleep. You can do little exercises if you can from this period. Tell yourself that you are on the last trimester of pregnancy and very shortly you can see your baby. You have to bear with plenty of symptoms like constipation, back pain, heartburn, leg pain and loss of sleep until your baby is delivered.
Development Of The Baby
Till date your baby might have exposed his wrinkled skin but from now on the wrinkles of his body begin to smooth out. He would start building up fat tissues beneath his skin growing plump. There will be fine hair on his entire body till the child birth which acts as protective layer on the skin. Most of the babies will measure about 14 inches and may weigh from 3-4 pounds.
He will be breathing on his own showing movements of the diaphragm. He is just preparing himself to live outside the womb from now on. Due to these movements, you may feel flutters on the uterus that has become common during the 30th week of pregnancy. It indicates that your baby is having hiccups and he is well practicing to live outside the womb by moving his diaphragm to breathe on his own.
If you could observe closer, your baby will make a routine for sleeping and waking pattern. Whenever he is awake he tends to be more active than before by pushing his head on the uterus wall and kicking your womb by his tiny hands and legs. At this stage the baby will occupy the entire uterine cavity.
His brain continues to mature and very soon it will send instruction for other vital organs to function on own. His lungs and muscles will start functioning independently without any influence. From this week on the digestive system of your baby will become fully functional. You will have to take more nutritious food since whatever you put into your mouth is fully utilized by him/her.
Tips For The Week
The big day is fast approaching and hence you should visit your doctor regularly for taking ultrasound scan and testing your blood. It is true that many women will feel uneasy and discomfort is occupying them. They will be anxious to see their baby. But remember you have to wait for just few weeks.
Take healthy foods in little quantity many times a day. Whenever you feel thirsty drink plenty of milk. Follow the instructions of your doctor in taking medications. Continue doing yoga and meditation and if possible do some aerobics. You can go for a walk in the evenings with your partner or any other family member.
There is nothing wrong if you feel sleepy during daytime since your body needs rest for replenishment. It is high time for you to use special pillows for support on your legs.
Tell yourself that you will not have to wait too long anymore for seeing your precious baby.
